Learn how Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) can help you move forward with greater balance and compassion. You'll leave with new skill sets that help your adopted child heal from the painful legacy of their past.
I’m a therapeutic social worker who helps adoptive parents support their children to heal from early adversity and trauma through using the parenting approach of TBRI®.
I have over 20 years of experience helping adopted children and their forever families. Over the years, I've learned how important it is for adoptive parents to feel empowered in their parenting and to have a set of helpful skills they can rely on. I understand the unique challenges you face in helping your adopted child to feel safe and secure, while also managing the legacy of the past. I'm here to help you as you navigate your parenting journey and to help your adoptive family thrive.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviours. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.
TBRI® is an excellent resource for adoptive parents, and countless families worldwide have benefitted from implementing TBRI®. Regardless of where you are in your adoptive parenting, this approach will help you form a secure base so your child can feel safe, heal, and thrive.
Begin your journey with TBRI® by attending the upcoming Caregiver Training and see the impact it can have on your family.
